OP Om Prakash Rajbhar, a former minister for the state of Uttar Pradesh and the leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, has rejoined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), providing the coalition a boost ahead of the pivotal 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Rajbhar tweeted a photo with the home minister.
Today, Rajbhar announced that he would be present at the NDA meeting on July 18. According to Rajbhar, the BJP and SBSP working together will establish a powerful force in the state that will seek to uplift the weaker parts of society.
The SBSP and the BJP have decided to fight the election together, Rajbhar said in a statement to the media. On July 14, we met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and we had a lengthy conversation about a number of subjects, including the welfare of the poor and disadvantaged members of society, he said. He also said, he concurred with our worries. The two parties joining forces will be a powerful force in the state and contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of bettering the lives of the underprivileged.
Rajbhar inquired as to how long he should wait for confirmation from the opposition parties regarding his prior declaration that he would back the opposition alliance. He said, how long do I have to wait? I spoke with them repeatedly, but I never received a response from them, he claimed. Rajbhar continued, we’ll attend the NDA meeting on July 18 in Delhi. I don’t place much value on the position of minister. In Uttar Pradesh, there is currently no rivalry, according to Rajbhar.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah welcomed him to the NDA family. Taking to Twitter Shah said, Om Prakash Rajbhar agreed to join the NDA coalition headed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi after seeing him in Delhi. I warmly welcome him to the NDA family. The entrance of Rajbhar ji would boost the NDA in Uttar Pradesh, and the NDA’s initiatives for the welfare of the underprivileged and impoverished will gain more support, according to Shah.
Rajbhar was fired for anti-alliance activities while serving as a minister in the BJP-led government of Uttar Pradesh from 2017 to 2019.
