Love for neighbour’s underwear: 10 injured, 20 detained in Gujarat clash after man keeps stealing woman’s lingerie for 8 months

The Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi made the announcement on Saturday through his official Twitter handle that the monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 20 this year and will continue till August 20.

The Union Minister also urged political parties to participate and contribute toward productive discussions of Legislative Business and other items during the Monsoon Session, 2023 of Parliament, which will commence on 20th July and continue till 11th August.

Joshi also said in another tweet in Hindi that the session will be spread across 23 days and will have 17 sittings.

As per the report, the session has been expected to be a stormy one as the Opposition parties were holding meetings and promised to fight together against the Narendra Modi-led BJP in view of the Lok Sabha election next year. There will be a discussion on UCC after PM Modi’s push.

As per the reports, the upcoming monsoon session has been decided to be first hosted in the old parliament buildings and later shift to the new Parliament building, which was inaugurated by PM Modi on May 28, 2023. The main departments have been shifted to the new Parliament.

It has been reported that during the session, centre will probably to bring a bill to replace the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Ordinance.

This move will effectively nullify the Supreme Court judgment that gave the Delhi government major legislative and administrative control over decision-making.

The ordinance was introduced after the Supreme Court verdict, which handed over the transfer control of bureaucrats in Delhi to the elected government but it did not include the control over police, public order, and land.

The National Research Foundation Bill which was cleared by the centre will also be introduced. The proposed foundation will be a new funding agency to support the country’s research competence in areas of science and technology.
