Several people are feared trapped after an under-construction building collapsed in Delhi’s Dakshinipuri today.
Nearly 5 people are feared to have trapped in the collapse. Rescue operations is underway with 5 fire tender teams and Delhi police officials at the apot.
As per the police, at around 4:24 pm, the police received information of two floors of an under-construction building to have collapsed near Nanki Public School G-Block, Central market, Dakshinipuri Delhi.
As per the fire service officials, the lintel of the fourth floor of the building collapsed resulting to the collapsing of a portion of the under-construction building.
Delhi Fire Services Director Atul Garg said 1 person was rescued and around 4-5 people are still trapped in the debris.
More details on the incident is awaited.
In May, in a similar incident, an under-construction building collapsed taking one labourer’s life and leaving two injured in capital’s Mundka area.
