In a video shared by ANI on Wednesday, a large portion of a road in Delhi’s Janakpuri could be seen caved-in, causing traffic congestion in the area. The incident occurred on Tuesday night, following that police had barricaded the hole to avoid any accident, no injuries were reported.

The video of the cave-in has been doing the rounds on the internet since morning, internet was flooded with the video of the caved-in portion of the Janakpuri road. It has been learned that the main reason behind the incident was heavy rainfall. However, the sudden collapse of such a big portion of the road raised a serious concern about the quality of the constructed road.
In the last 24 hours, Delhi recorded 0.2 mm of rainfall till 8:30 am on Wednesday, as per the reports. After the incident, the concerned department was informed about the same to carry out repair work. The traffic police said that they had received the information about congestion from Pankha Road in Janakpuri.
The video was shared by several Twitter users concerning the safety of the people in Delhi. Netizens were anguished against the poor state of the roads. The incident attracted the attention of the people to the poor condition of roads in Delhi. Such an incident, too, after a few days of rain left netizens questioning.
Several leaders from the opposition party questioned Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal about the condition of roads in Delhi. CM Kejriwal always claimed that Delhi has been the best in every term be it in infrastructure, education, and its services to the people. One of the Twitter users said the crater looked like a moon, and people in Delhi could enjoy the view.
