After government involvement, the sky-high costs of tomatoes have finally decreased, much to the public’s relief. Tomatoes will be priced by the government at Rs 80 per kilogramme beginning on Sunday, July 15.

It has been agreed to sell it for Rs 80 per kg starting today, Sunday, July 16th, 2023, following a reevaluation of the scenario from across 500+ places in the country.

Through NAFED and NCCF, sales have begun today at a number of locations in Delhi, NOIDA, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Patna, Muzaffarpur, and Arrah. Depending on the local market conditions in certain cities, it will be extended to new ones starting tomorrow.
