Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed over 70,000 appointment letters to newly-inducted government recruits via video conferencing today at 10:30 am. PM Modi also addressed these new appointees on the occasion.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, this event took place at 44 locations across the country. The recruitment happened across the Central Government Departments, State Governments, and Union Territories.
Central ministers from different states had also joined the seventh job fair. Mansukh Mandaviya from Ahmedabad, Anurag Singh Thakur from Shimla, Smriti Irani and Piyush Goyal from Mumbai, Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur among others.
According to reports, the new recruits, hailing from different parts of the country, will be joining the government in various ministries and departments like Department of Revenue, Financial Services, Posts, School Education, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Central Public Sector Undertakings, Water Resources, Department of Personnel and Training and the Ministry of Home Affairs, among others.
In the PMO statement, the Rozgar Mela was introduced to fulfill the promise of the prime minister to generate employment in the country.
The Rozgar Mela has been expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development, the statement added.
The newly-inducted recruits will also get an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. The portal offers more than 580 e-learning courses and it has been made available for anywhere in any device learning format, the PMO statement said.
Addressing the sixth employment fair that took place on June 13, PM Modi said that the youth who got jobs in the golden age of independence, in the next 25 years, these people have to fulfill the dream of a developed India. He added the whole world is keen to walk with India in this journey of development.Â
