A family in Punjab went for dinner at one of the state’s famed restaurants. When they ordered mutton malai, they were allegedly served the dish along with dead and roasted rat in it. The eatery is reportedly located in Ludhiana near Vishwakarma Chowk. The clip which holds the evidence has gone viral on various social media platforms. Many social media users were disappointed with the service and claimed that several Indian restaurants have very poor kitchen standards.
The video shows the customer segregating a tailed meat from the malai mutton dish. A social media user who shared the video alleged that this incident took place in Parkash Dhaba, a renowned restaurant in Ludhiana. He further questioned whether the food inspectors allow these restaurants to go free after the owners bribe them. The disappointed Twitter user also cautioned others to be aware when they dine out at Indian restaurants.
According to reports, the family confronted the restaurant owner and also provided him with the video evidence. Nonetheless, the owner denied all the claims despite the visual proof. This is not the first time that an Indian restaurant has served food with unwanted animals or insects. Earlier, a dead cockroach was allegedly served at a meal at the food court of Nexus Elante Mall. This incident came to light when a lizard was found in a plate of Chholey Bathure ordered from the same mall.
The complainant in the above case asserted that he ordered fried rice from “Ni Hao”, a chinese food outlet at the mall’s food court and was shocked to find a cockroach in it. He further alleged that when he showed it to the restaurant staff, they passed it off as a piece of onion. Following that, he was forced to call the police. Later, the food court owner alleged conspiracy by the mall’s management.
