In an anti-police protest last evening in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, Police thrashed the workers of Bajrang Dal and lathi charged on them after they tried to chakka jam in the city.
A fierce commotion was witnessed between the Police force and the workers of the right wing Hindu organisation.
A video of the incident is now viral on the internet.
In the viral video a large platoon of police forces can be seen charging batons on the workers of the Bajrang Dal.
The incident is from outside of Palasia police station in Indore, when some Bajrang Dal workers reached to oppose the arrest of one of their members and for long hours reportedly raised slogans creating a ruckus in the area.
The workers claimed they were protesting peacefully and no senior cop was present at the spot, that’s when the angry workers blocked the Palasia intersection road.
The police on the other side said, the police personnel present on the site constantly asked the protesting workers to withdraw the chakka jam but they resisted on it.
The police had to resort to lathi charge to clear the road blockade. Some workers along with some policemen were injured in the incident.
The incident has now led to the Hindu organisation demanding an impartial investigation into the entire matter.
The Bajrang Dal has demanded the Madhya Pradesh government and state Home Minister Narottam Mishra to oversee the matter and order a fair investigation and has stated that the government must take an action against the accused policemen.
Meanwhile, reports said the police took up the action on the orders of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
