Artist Chaitanye Limaye said he saw an old lady making garlands in her flower shop. The whole focus of the lady was on making them with the most fresh and colourful flowers. She was engrossed in her routine in that quaint little cornershop. The artist was fascinated and this made him want to draw her. She loved the sketch made by the artist.
She told him about her shop. She said the shop had been there for generations and was more than 70 years old. The artist said it was great sketching her and the smile on her face was priceless. The video was shared on June 26 on Instagram. It has since gone viral with over 2.4 million views, and the numbers are still increasing. A few also took to the video’s comments section to express their thoughts. While many loved the artwork, others just couldn’t get over the elderly woman’s smile.
