Watch: Young man forced to act like dog, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister orders probe

In the sanctum sanctorum (garba griha) of the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand, a woman was spotted dishonourably throwing cash on Shivling. The incident was caught on camera and has since been posted online, drawing criticism from viewers.

Police have been requested by temple officials to take the required and prompt action in this case. The woman’s identity is still unknown.

The video was shot not only right next to the Kedarnath Temple’s Shivling, where it is reported that photography and videography are strictly banned, but it also showed the woman performing improperly inside the holy grounds as she disgracefully showered cash like she would at a dance club or wedding reception.

Temple President Ajendra Ajay acknowledged the viral video in a press release that was officially released by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee and urged the authorities to take serious steps. According to reports, Ajay had a conversation with the Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate of Rudraprayag to request that the appropriate miscreants be dealt with right away.

Meanwhile, the members of the famous Uttarakhand shrine’s sanctum sanctorum, which is gold-plated, reacted furiously to assertions made on social media that it is actually brass. It was referred to as a conspiracy by officials of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). The uproar started when certain social media videos purported to show gold polish being put into the temple’s inner sanctuary. Users connected to the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have shared the videos. The video was shared by those who are associated with Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The sanctum-sanctorum is shown in the short video as employees remove some tin cans with the words “gold wash” printed on the lids.

Workers can be seen sitting on and inspecting gold-plated material in another clip.

A senior priest at the Kedarnath temple said that the gold plating of the shrine’s inside walls is the result of a multi-million crore scam when the videos surfaced online. Santosh Trivedi, a priest, asserted that a Rs 125 crore scam had taken place and that brass plates had been placed over the inner sanctum of the temple in place of gold plating.
